Educational Qualification: M.Sc
The Department of Education in Social Sciences (DESS) is a constituent unit of the NCERT which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It is proposed to fill up the post of Senior Project Fellow on Contractual Basis under the projects (code 5.01) entitled: "Development of Syllabi for School Education (Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education) in the light of National Education Policy 2020" through walk-in-interview.
1. Position: Senior Project Fellow
2. No of Posts: 06
3. Qualification: Master's Degree in Social Scjence with minimum 55% marks. (SC/ST/PH candidates are eligible with minimum of 50% marks in relevant Master's Degree.)
4. Desirable: M.Phil/Ph.D in Social Science viz. Sociology/ Political Science/History/ Geography/ Economics.
5. Tenure : Upto 31.3.2023 OR 08 months whichever is earlier
6. Salary: R.s. 30000/- (consolidated)

Selection Will be Based either Written Exam/Interview
1. Date & Time: 12.5.2022 at 11.00 a.m in the chamber of Head, DESS. Registration will be started at 9.00 a.m and no candidate will be entertained after 11.00 a.m
2. The interested candidates who fulfill the required eligibility conditions may attend the Walk-in-interview on the above mentioned date and time alongwith their bio-data, original certificates/mark sheets/ testimonials/experience etc.
3. One set of attested copies of certificates/testimonials and one passport size photograph may also be submitted. Person whose minimum eligibility degree is awaited, please do not apply.
4. Candidates attending the interview will not be paid any TA/DA by the NCERT.
5. The candidates working with other organizations should forward the application through their employer or being Objection Certificate' at the time of interview
6. The candidate who had already worked as Junior Project Fellow (IPF) in the NCERT for two and half years need not apply again.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organisation set up in 1961 by the Government of India to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on policies and programmes for qualitative improvement in school education. The major objectives of NCERT and its constituent units are to: undertake, promote and coordinate research in areas related to school education; prepare and publish model textbooks, supplementary material, newsletters, journals and develops educational kits, multimedia digital materials, etc. organise pre-service and in-service training of teachers; develop and disseminate innovative educational techniques and practices;collaborate and network with state educational departments, universities, NGOs and other educational institutions; act as a clearing house for ideas and information in matters related to school education; and act as a nodal agency for achieving the goals of Universalisation of Elementary Education. In addition to research, development, training, extension, publication and dissemination activities, NCERT is an implementation agency for bilateral cultural exchange programmes with other countries in the field of school education. The NCERT also interacts and works in collaboration with the international organisations, visiting foreign delegations and offers various training facilities to educational personnel from developing countries.
