CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography, a constituent national laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research Institute (CSIR), invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of the following project staff, purely on a temporary contractual basis to carry out research work on the R&D project and to be engaged in NIO Regional Centre Mumbai.

4. Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Oceanography / Marine Science/ Physical Oceanography / Physical Oceanography & Ocean Modelling
5. Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement Good knowledge in Coastal Physical Processes, satellite image processing and programming.Candidate will be engaged in field data collection, data interpretation, model simulation, and satellite image processing
6. Monthly Emoluments: Rs.25000 /- Plus HRA as per rules
7. Tenure: 4 Months
8. Project: Biodiversity and ecosystem functions in understanding coastal integrity through observation and simulations (BEFCI).

4. Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Marine Biotechnology / M.E or MTech Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology
5. Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement Candidates with prior experience in EIA related work, bacterial isolation and identification will be preferred. The selected candidates will be required to participate in cruises,field work, carry out work on microbiological sample collection, analysis, process data and prepare reports related to projects.
6. Monthly Emoluments: Rs.25000 /- Plus HRA as per rules
7. Tenure: 6 Months
8. Project: Marine environmental impact assessment for fixing revised disposal point of treated effluent in Vashi Creek from MIDC

1. If number of applications are more, then selection committee will fix a criteria to shortlist the applicants. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. Selection will be done on the basis of online interview through either Skype/Google Meet/Zoom or any other suitable software, as decided by the competent authority.
