National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (NIRT) Invites Application for Project Research Associate-I Recruitment 2022

The following posts are to be filled purely on temporary basis from willing eligible candidates for the below mentioned project implemented by this institute as detailed thereon.

3. Name of the Project: Impact of Covid-19 on clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment outcome and immune response for pulmonary tuberculosisABRICOT study

4. Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in any branch of Biology/Life Science or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research/teaching experience. At least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

5. Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. degree in biological sciences; preference would be given for research experience in culture work, in-vitro cell culture, PBMC isolation, PBMC cryopreservation, handling of clinical samples and efficiency in working with computer is a must. Persons with expertise in immunological assays and/or Flow cytometry related work, etc., will be preferred. Minimum three years of research/ teaching experience with Ph.D. Candidate should have at least one first author publications in indexed journals in the field of parasite biology/vector biology. Minimum of one research publication in international journals.

6. Nature of Duties: RA-I: in-vitro cell culture, PBMC isolation, PBMC cryopreservation, handling of clinical samples, handling Flow cytometry experiments like Immuno phenotyping, Molecular Biology experiments like RNA Isolation and quantification and efficiency in working with biological software is a must. Persons with expertise in immunological assays and/or Flow cytometry related work. To ensure timely completion of research objectives. Coordination among the SRFs and JRFs work, data collection, analysis and compilation, Report preparation, Reporting of project progress with PI and other project partners

7. Emoluments Salary of Rs.47,000/- + HRA of Rs.12,690/- p.m.

8. Duration Initially for a period of Six Months
