Educational Qualification: M.A
1. Position: Consultants
2. Number of Consultant Required: 02
3. Division: Mission Antyodaya & Ease of Living Survey
4. Location: Ministry of Rural Development, New Delhi
5. Contract period: One year (renewable depending upon the satisfactory work deliverable)
6. Salary : Rs 1,00,000 per month
7. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Masters degree in Economics or Statistics or Public Policy or Sociology or Rural Development or related field from esteemed institute; Minimum 5 years of experience working with government agencies on policy issues
8. Desirable: Demonstrated knowledge of government policy and planning processes; Strong interest in the sector of Rural Development Good analytical skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Good writing skill in English and knowledge of Hindi Proficient in MS Office
9. Leave for consultants :The individual consultant shall be eligible for 8 days of casual leave in a calendar year on pro-rata basis. Therefore, the individual consultant shall not draw any remuneration in case of his/her absence beyond 8 days in a year (calculated on a pro-rata basis). The non-availed leave in a calendar year cannot be carried forward to the next calendar year.
10. The department would be free to terminate the service of the individual Consultant in case of his/ her unauthorized absence for more than 07 days beyond the entitled leave in a calendar year

The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR) is an autonomous organisation under the Union Ministry of Rural Development. It is a premier national centre of excellence in rural development and Panchayati Raj. National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) is recognised internationally as one of the UN-ESCAP Centres of Excellence, it builds capacities of rural development functionaries, elected representatives of PRIs, bankers, NGOs and other stakeholders through inter-related activities of training, research and consultancy. The Institute is located in Hyderabad, Telangana. The NIRD&PR celebrated its Golden Jubilee Year of establishment in 2008.
