Educational Qualification: M.Sc
An Online Interview for the engagement of a Project Associate - I (on contract basis) for a Research Project in the Department of Chemistry, NIT Calicut is scheduled to be held on 14.02.2022.
1. Post Name: Project Associate - I
2. Duration of Engagement: One year (on contract basis) and extendable based on the performance of the candidate and availability of the project fund.
3. Name of the sponsoring Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India.
4. Name of Project: “Chemical Synthesis of filled low dimensional CoSb3 skutterudites for thermoelectric devices with high figures of merit for IC engine - driven vehicles”
5. Qualifications: MSc in Chemistry with at least 75% marks (or 7.5 CGPA)
6. Desirable : Good understanding in synthesize and characterization of nanomaterials
7. Consolidated monthly pay : (i) Rs. 31,000/- to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE Or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) Rs. 25,000/- for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Selection Procedure
The interview will be conducted online and the date of which will be informed to the selected candidates through their e-mail.
How to Apply:
1. Candidates have to send an application form in the prescribed format (annexed) as e-mail to [email protected] with subject “Application for Project Associate - I: SERB-AAV”. The self attested copy of all the relevant certificates/document proofs scanned and merged as a single PDF file also has to be sent along with the application form.
2. The interview will be conducted online and the date of which will be informed to the selected candidates through their e-mail. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photographs submitted.
3. The Institute reserves the right to relax qualification and experience for the candidates with exceptional credentials.
4. Applicants who are employed in government or any other organizations are required to send a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer, if selected for the interview.

Set in align=lefta picturesque landscape at the foothills of the Western Ghats, National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is located about 22 kilometers north-east of Calicut City. National Institute of Technology Calicut is a Technical Institution of national importance set up by an Act of parliament(Act 29 of 2007) namely, the National Institute of technology Act 2007, which received the assent of the President of India on 5th June,2007. The provision of the Act have come into force with effect from 15th August,2007 as per Notification S.O.1384(E) dated 9th August, 2007 of the Ministry of Education(Shiksha Mantralaya),New Delhi. As per the provision of the said Act, this Institution runs on non profitable basis.
National Institute of Technology Calicut was established in the year 1961. The college imparts high standard technical education to students. National Institute of Technology Calicut offers Undergraduate courses such as Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in various engineering fields and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.). Postgraduate courses in Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Computer Application (M.C.A.), Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in science departments.
