The Institute invites applications from Indian Nationals possessing the requisite qualifications and experience as per the extant Recruitment Rules duly approved by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India for appointment to the following Non-Teaching (Administrative, Technical and Ministerial) posts on direct recruitment / deputation basis.
1. Name of the post: Assistant Registrar

5. Essential:
Master's degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / IJGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University / Institute. Or Employees serving as Superintendent Private Secretary (NFG) in PB-2, Rs.5400/- with at least two years service or Superintendent (SG-II) / Secretary (NFG) in PB-2 GP of Rs.4800/- least five years regular service with degree. (SG-I) / GP of regular Private with at Master's
6. Desirable:
Qualification in area of Management / Engineering / Law. Experience of working in E-Office system. A Chartered or Cost Accountant for the post of Assistant Registrar (Finance & Accounts).
1. Name of the post: Students Activity & Sports (SAS) Officer
2. Pay Level and Entry pay as per 7 th CPC: Level 10 (Rs.56,100/-)

5. Essential:
i. Master's Degree in Physical Education or Master's Degree in Sports Science or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University / Institute.
ii. Record of having represented the University / College at the inter-University/lnter-Collegiate competitions or the State and/or national championships; Qualifying in the national-level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC and passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these regulations.
6. Desirable:
i. Experience in guiding group of students in creative activities. Candidate with higher degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant Discipline shall be preferred. Record of organizing such events as student's convener or in later part of life.
ii. Record of strong involvement and proven track record of participation in sports and drama / music / films / painting / Photography / journalism event management or other student/ event management activities during college / University studies.

B.E./ B. Tech. in Civil / Electrical Engineering with first class or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC 7 point scale with good academic record from a recognized University/ Institute. OR Employees of the Institute with at least five years regular service as Assistant Engineer (SG II) in PB-2, Grade Pay of or with at least two years regular service as Assistant Engineer SG-I in PB-2, Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-.

5. Essential:

Selection Procedure
1. Mere fulfilment of the required qualifications and experience, does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview / selection.
2. The Institute reserves the right to fix the criteria of shortlisting after scrutiny by duly constituted committee and their decision of the committee will be made applicable for mode of selection with the approval of the competent Authority.
3. If the numbers of shortlisted applicants are more based on the data furnished by the candidates in the applications, a “Written Test” will be conducted for further shortlisting of the candidates for the final Selection Process including Interview by a Selection Committee
4. The list of screened - in candidates will be made available on the website. Only the screened - in candidates will be allowed for Test/Interview and those candidates shall be communicated through e-mail or SMS.

3. Last date of receiving and submission of filled in application is 45 days from the date of publication of advertisement in the Employment News and application received thereafter on account of what so ever reasons may be
4. Self attested copies of the following documents must be attached along with application:
a) Reservation category certificate (if reservation/ fee concession claimed). For OBC candidates, OBC Status and Non-Creamy Layer Status duly issued by the competent authority on or after 1st April 2021
b) Certificates and marks sheet/grade card of all degrees, 10th and 12th standard
c) Experience certificate
d) Certificates of all other additional qualifications claimed, if any

About National Institute of Technology Nagaland

National Institute of Technology Nagaland (NIT Nagaland) is a higher education technology institute located at Dimapur in Nagaland. It is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India. NIT Nagaland was set up by the Government of India in 2009, as part of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan (2007–2012) for imparting technical education in the state of Nagaland.
The first batch of NIT Nagaland (2010-2014) studied at NIT Silchar for two years and then the NIT Nagaland has shifted to its home state, Nagaland in September 2012. NIT Nagaland is a federally funded technical university established by an Act of the Indian Parliament.
The institute is located at the Old DC Complex at Chumukedima.
NIT Nagaland is managed by the NIT Nagaland Society registered under the Societies Act. The institute is fully funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. At present three undergraduate courses in Engineering namely Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering and four master course namely Power System Engineering, VLSI Systems, Computer Science and Engineering and integrated MSc course B.S.M.S(Material Science) is running in the Institute.
