A. By Deputation

• Officers of Central Government / State Governments meeting any one of these service conditions:
  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis in parent cadre/department; OR
  • 3 years' regular service in Level-14 (Rs. 1,44,200 – Rs. 2,18,200) or equivalent; OR
  • 25 years' regular service in Group 'A' posts with at least 1 year in Level-14 or equivalent.
• Common qualification and experience:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognised university/institution.
  • At least 20 years of professional experience in Water Resources covering surveys, investigations, planning, project reports, design and construction of major irrigation, hydro-electric, flood control and multipurpose projects.
  • At least 10 years of the above experience must be at the senior management level.

B. By Short-Term Contract

• Candidates from organisations not covered under deputation eligibility:
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognised university/institution.
• Same experience requirement: 20 years in Water Resources, 10 years at senior management level.

Other condition: The officer should not have been on Deputation/Foreign Service during the last one year counted till the closing date. Maximum age 58 years as on the closing date. No age relaxation mentioned.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The information in the Curriculum Vitae submitted, supported by documents on essential qualification and work experience, will be assessed by the Selection Committee at the time of selection.
