NEDFL Recruitment 2026 – Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager (Dairy Plant), Silchar

North East Dairy and Foods Limited (NEDFL) at Silchar, Assam, has issued a Terms of Reference (ToR) inviting online applications for the posts of Assistant Manager – Dairy Plant and Deputy Manager – Dairy Plant. The engagement is contractual in nature under a Terms of Reference framework. Applications will be accepted on the official recruitment portal until 23 November 2026.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Educational Qualification (Both Posts): Full time B.Tech / M.Tech in Dairy Technology with first class from an AICTE recognized institute.
• Deputy Manager – Experience: Minimum 6 years of full-time experience in processing and manufacturing of milk and milk products in a Dairy Plant, out of which at least 3 years in Plant Operations.
• Assistant Manager – Experience: Minimum 4 years of full-time experience in processing and manufacturing of milk and milk products in a Dairy Plant, out of which at least 3 years in Plant Operations.
• Language Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and speak any two of Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, and English is mandatory.
• Age Limit: Not less than 28 years and not more than 38 years as on 1 November 2026.
• Age Relaxation: May be given to appropriate or outstanding candidates at the discretion of NEDFL.

Who Cannot Apply: Candidates not meeting the requisite qualification and experience requirements, and candidates relieved from WAMUL / EAMUL / NEDFL within six months prior to the date of publication of this notification.

Job Responsibilities (Both Posts)

• Monitor processing, quality, maintenance, and dispatch parameters to ensure quality output at minimum cost while adhering to food safety through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Process milk and milk products by monitoring FAT and SNF input and output to minimize solid loss.
• Review plant operations continuously and suggest measures for improved productivity.
• Ensure strict maintenance of product quality and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP).
• Maintain industrial relations, ensure preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns, and manage pouch milk processing and packaging alongside products such as Lassi, Buttermilk, Dahi, Paneer, and Sweets.
• Work with QA to release products according to specifications, oversee production, QC, and maintenance, and manage inventory of raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods.
• Facilitate ISO audits, ensure timely statutory requirements, plan and supervise subordinate staff, and monitor civil, mechanical, and electrical project works.
• Provide technical assistance to dairy infrastructure including BMC centers and arrange employee training.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection of candidates will be carried out in the following stages:

1. Preliminary Online Interview – conducted optionally as part of the shortlisting process.
2. Document Verification Round – shortlisted candidates are called for verification of original documents and experience certificates.
3. Written Test – eligible candidates after document verification will appear for a written examination.
4. Personal Interview – final stage for candidates who qualify the written test.
