Applications are invited from eligible local candidates for filling up 08 (eight) post of Senior Information Assistant on temporary-regular basis in Level-11 of the Pay Matrix under the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Sikkim, through Direct Recruitment. All applications are to be made online at the Commission's website www.spscskm.gov.in

(a) Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Print Journalism, Journalism, Mass Communication, TV Journalism and Communication, Communicative English, Communication Studies, Media Science, Electronic Media or Journalism, Online Journalism, Creative Writing, Broadcast Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Developmental Journalism, Developmental Communication, Developmental and Educational Communication, Media Research or Studies or Media Management from a recognised University. OR,
(b) Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with Post Graduate Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Print Journalism, Journalism, Mass Communication, TV Journalism and Communication, Communicative English, Communication Studies, Media Science, Electronic Media or Journalism, Online Journalism, Creative Writing, Broadcast Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Developmental Journalism, Developmental Communication, Developmental and Educational Communication, Media Research or Studies or Media Management from a recognised University. OR,
(c) Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with minimum 01 (one) year Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, Journalism, Mass Communication, Print Journalism, Video Journalism, TV Journalism and Communication, TV Journalism, Advertising and Film Making, Communicative English, Media Science, Electronic Media or Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Developmental Journalism, Developmental Communication, Media Research or Studies or Media Management, Developmental and Educational Communication, Broadcast Journalism, Scriptwriting from a certified institute / recognised University.
5. Other Qualifications:
(a) Should have basic knowledge in Computer Application
(b) Must be able to read, write and speak in one of the State languages.
(c) Must be conversant with local customs and traditions of Sikkim.

Selection Procedure
1. Scheme Of Examination: Candidates are advised to refer for Detailed Scheme and pattern for the Written Examinations. The syllabus can be downloaded from the Sikkim Public Service Commission website.
2. Those candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the scrutiny of documents. Short listed candidates are required to submit attested Photocopies of all relevant documents on the dates specified by the Commission.
3. Admission to all the stages of examination for which candidates are admitted by the Commission viz. Written Examination shall be purely provisional and subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If, on verification at any stage of the examination process, it is found that candidates do not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the post shall be cancelled by the Commission without notice.
How to Apply:
Last date for Submission of Applications: 27/02/2022 up to 12 midnight.
1. Candidate should go through the advertisement and read the instructions provided on the website carefully before applying online. Applications received through any other mode shall not be accepted and shall be summarily rejected.
2. The candidates are advised to apply online from our website http://spscskm.gov.in/ on or before the stipulated date and time. Application submitted thereafter will not be accepted and SPSC shall not be responsible for the same.
3. Rejection list of candidates who do not qualify for the post as per the advertised criteria will be uploaded in the SPSC website on the stipulated date and if any of the rejected candidates have reservation on rejection of application, they should submit their grievances along with justification to the office of the Controller, SPSC within the stipulated period.
4. e-Admit Cards can be downloaded and printed by the eligible candidates after a Notice for the same shall be published by the Commission in the official website of the Commission.
5. Candidates are directed to bring a Photo Identity proof like (Aadhaar Card, Voters Card, Driving License) along with valid e-Admit cards in the examination centre for proof of identity.
