Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of aggregate marks scored in the qualifying course/examination, in order of merit, in the ratio of 1:10 (maximum) to the number of vacancies in each discipline and category.
  • Interview: Shortlisted candidates are assessed by a Selection Committee through Interview. The date, time and venue will be communicated via email. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the Interview to qualify (relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD as per rules).
  • Document Verification: All original certificates must be produced at Document Verification prior to the Interview. Government/PSU-employed candidates must produce an NOC.
  • Merit Calculation: Unreserved candidates of each discipline, along with SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates who do not avail relaxation, are grouped together, arranged in descending order of merit and called in the ratio of 1:10. Remaining category candidates are regrouped and called in their respective category ratio of 1:10. In case of equal marks, the elder/senior candidate is considered first.
  • Pre-Employment Medical: Provisionally selected candidates must undergo a Pre-employment Medical Examination before joining. The Company Doctor's decision is final and binding.
  • No Written Test: There is no written test. Selection is based on shortlisting through qualifying examination marks followed by Interview.

Tenure & Nature of Engagement

  • Selected candidates will be engaged for a maximum period of 3 years from the date of engagement. The tenure ends automatically after 3 years without extension.
  • The engagement can be terminated by either party with one month's notice or payment of Basic + DA in lieu of notice.
  • An Undertaking will be obtained at joining that the engagement is temporary and will automatically cease after 3 years.
  • Candidates may be transferred or posted to any HAL division/office/base based on organizational requirements. Requests for change of posting will not be entertained after joining.
  • The Short Term Engagement does not confer any right to claim the status of regular executives of the Company.

  5. SC/ST/PwBD: Registration is completed on the application confirmation page after step 4.
  6. UR/OBC-NCL/EWS: Pay the Rs. 500 application fee online via SBI Collect after submitting details. Payment validation may take 48–72 hours; re-visit the application page after validation to download the final submitted Application Form.
