UP LT Teacher Recruitment  General Studies Syllabus (Part I) 

i) History of India and National Movement– In history of India emphasis should be on broad understanding of social, economic and political aspects of Indian History. In Indian National Movement, the candidates are expected to have synoptic view of the freedom movement, growth of nationalist and attainment of Independence.

ii) India and World Geography– Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India and World: – Questions on the Geography of India will relate to Physical, Social, and Economic Geography of India. In World Geography only general understanding of the subject will be expected

iii) Indian Polity and Governance, Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj and Public Policy, Right issues etc– Indian Polity and Constitution question will test knowledge of the country’s constitution, political system including Panchayati Raj and Community Development

iv) Indian Economy and Social Development– The candidates will be tested the problems and relations between Population, Environment, and Urbanization. Broad feature of Economic Policy in India and Indian Culture

v) Current National and International Events including Sports & Games

vi) Indian Agriculture– The candidates will be expected to have general understanding of Agriculture in India, Agricultural Produce and their Marketing

vii) General Science –Questions on General Science will cover general appreciations and understanding of Science including matters of everyday observation and special study of any scientific discipline. Tis will also include questions on Role of Science and Technology on the Development of India,

viii) Elementary Mathematics up to class 10th level –  Arithmetic,  Algebra, Geometry

Note: Candidates are expected to have general awareness about the above topics with special reference to Uttar Pradesh.
