Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Candidate must have passed Class X.
  • Must be a Diploma holder or Post Diploma holder from a recognised institution in the particular field (Bharatanatyam).
  • Must be able to handle final year diploma and post-diploma classes, including theory.
  • Must be able to take part in Kalakshetra productions.
  • Able to give a solo performance for about 2 hours.
  • Should be able to sing and conduct dance programmes by doing nattuvangam.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a recognised university or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of any of the South Indian languages and Hindi.
  • Ability to write music and dance notations.
• Experience: Assistant Professor (Bharatanatyam) holding an analogous post, or 8 years regular service in Pay Level 16 (Rs. 36,400 - 1,15,700) of the TN Government State Pay Scales, or an equivalent level.

Selection Process & Screening Clause
