Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
- Essential Qualification: Full Time Regular Course in B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc (Engg.)/IDD (Integrated Dual Degree) from a recognized University/Institute in Electrical/Electrical (Power)/Electrical and Electronics/Power Systems Engineering/Power Engineering (Electrical) disciplines with minimum 65% or equivalent CGPA.
- Degree Completion: The B.E./B.Tech. degree must have been completed on or before the closing date of the application window (6 November 2026). Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible.
- Desirable Qualification: Full-time regular M.Tech./MSR/M.E in Power Systems or closely related specialization (final semester students eligible); Ph.D in Power Systems or closely related specialization (research scholars eligible with NOC from college/university).
- Age Limit: At least 18 years and not more than 32 years as on 6 November 2026. Relaxation as per Government of India directives.
- Other Conditions: Must be available for full-time, on-site engagement at NLDC/RLDCs for the entire duration. Must not have previously availed PM Internship Scheme benefits or undergone apprenticeship under NATS/NAPS.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Shortlisting based on fulfilment of prescribed essential eligibility criteria.
- Preference given to candidates possessing desirable qualifications.
- Shortlisted candidates shall be called for an interaction at NLDC, New Delhi.
- No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates appearing for the interaction.
