Additional Benefits & Allowances

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Assistant General Manager (Contract Cell) – Grade E5

• Qualification: Degree in Mechanical / Production / Electrical / Electronics / Civil / Marine Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of managerial experience in sub-contracting, vendor development, purchasing, operations, or managing government tenders in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, or marine-related engineering companies.

Assistant General Manager (Design) – Grade E5

• Qualification: Degree in Mechanical / Naval Architecture / Production Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of managerial experience in hull structure design, machinery outfit design, or hull outfit design of ships in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, or marine-related engineering companies.

Manager (Hull) – Grade E3

• Qualification: Degree in Mechanical / Naval Architecture / Production Engineering from a recognized university OR minimum 3-year Diploma in Mechanical / Marine / Shipbuilding Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
• Experience: Minimum 9 years (Degree holders) or 12 years (Diploma holders) of managerial experience in hull, outfitting, heavy fabrication, or erection functions in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, or marine-related engineering companies.

Deputy Manager (Quality Control) – Grade E2

• Qualification: Degree in Mechanical / Marine / Naval Architecture Engineering from a recognized university OR minimum 3-year Diploma in Mechanical / Marine / Naval Architecture / Shipbuilding Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Additionally, candidates must hold NDT Level 2 or ASNT Level 2 certification from a competent agency.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years (Degree holders) or 10 years (Diploma holders) of managerial experience in quality control of outfitting, machinery, piping, structural outfit, or fabrication functions in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, petrochemical, or marine-related companies.

Deputy Manager (Electrical Design) – Grade E2

• Qualification: Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical & Instrumentation / Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognized university OR minimum 3-year Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Naval Architecture / Shipbuilding Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years (Degree holders) or 10 years (Diploma holders) of managerial experience in electrical design applications such as AutoCAD, Tribon, Aveva, or CADMATIC in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, petrochemical, or marine-related companies.

Age Relaxation

Maximum age after all relaxations: 45 years for Deputy Manager, 50 years for Manager, and 55 years for Assistant General Manager.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

Selection will be through a multi-stage process carrying a total of 100 marks:

Candidates provisionally shortlisted after initial screening will be required to deliver a PowerPoint Presentation highlighting their work experience. Only candidates meeting the notified work experience and job requirements will be permitted to appear for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates appearing for the Personal Interview will be eligible for reimbursement of single to-and-fro third AC rail fare by the shortest route, on production of travel proof and bank passbook details.

2. Complete the one-time registration on the SAP Online Application portal.
3. Log in and submit the online application between 07 October 2026 and 28 October 2026.
4. Upload scanned copies of all required certificates – age proof, educational qualifications, experience, caste certificate (if applicable), NDT/ASNT certificate (for DM Quality Control), and a recent passport-size colour photograph.
5. Remit the application fee of ₹1,000/- online using Debit card, Credit card, or Internet Banking (SC/ST candidates are exempted).
6. Verify that the application status displays "In process" after submission.
7. Save or print a copy of the submitted application bearing the unique registration number for future reference.

Note: Applications submitted directly or through any other mode will not be accepted. No hard copy of the application or certificates needs to be sent by post to UCSL, Malpe.

Important Instructions

• Applicants currently serving in regular Government service or Public Sector Undertakings must upload the declaration in Annexure-I and produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before final selection.
