Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Master degree with a minimum of 60% marks in the discipline of Genetics & Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Soil Science, Nematology, or Plant Pathology.
• Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years as on the last date of submission of application. A relaxation of 3 years on the upper age limit is applicable for SC/BC categories.
• The application form (Annexure-A) also collects details on NET qualification status, computer knowledge (certificate/diploma/degree), relevant work experience, publications, and a brief note on how the candidate can contribute to the project.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Stage 1 — Application Screening: Applications received by 10:00 AM on 20 November 2026 in the office of the Professor & Head (Genetics & Plant Breeding), CCS HAU, Hisar will be screened against eligibility criteria. Applications received after the deadline will not be entertained for any reason.
• Stage 2 — Document Verification & Interview: The interview will be conducted on 21 November 2026 at 9:30 AM in the office of the Director of Research, CCS HAU, Hisar. Candidates must carry original certificates for verification and also submit certified true copies or originals to the University.
• No separate interview call letter will be issued. Eligible candidates appearing with the required documents at the venue will be considered.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. TA/DA during regular service will be payable as per University rules.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
• All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets from Matriculation to highest qualification (Ph.D. if applicable)
• NET Qualification Certificate (if applicable)
• Computer Knowledge Certificate / Diploma / Degree (if applicable)
• Experience Certificates and list of Publications on official letterhead (if applicable)
• Valid Category / Caste Certificate in prescribed format for SC/BC candidates claiming age relaxation
• Attested passport-size photograph pasted in the designated space of Annexure-A application form
• No Objection Certificate from present employer (if currently employed)
• Two recent passport-size photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)

Important Instructions:

• Submit the completed application in the Annexure-A format to the office of the Professor & Head (Genetics & Plant Breeding), Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding, CCS HAU, Hisar, so that it reaches by 10:00 AM on 20 November 2026.
• The selected candidate must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the University at the time of joining.
• The candidate must report for duty within 10 days of issue of the appointment order; otherwise the appointment will be treated as cancelled.
• An agreement on Non-judicial Stamped Paper of Rs. 15/- must be executed before joining.
• The appointment is co-terminus with the project. Services can be terminated if the funding agency does not release funds, or if work and conduct are not satisfactory.
• The SRF will not be treated as a regular employee of the University and will not be entitled to CPF/GPF or other benefits of regular employees.

2. Write "Senior Research Fellow" against "Application for the position of" in the form.
3. Fill in all personal details, educational qualifications (Matriculation to Ph.D.), NET status, computer knowledge, experience, and publications as requested.
4. Paste an attested passport-size photograph in the space provided.
5. Attach a No Objection Certificate from your present employer (if applicable).
6. Sign the declaration with date and place.
7. Ensure the complete application reaches the office of the Professor & Head (Genetics & Plant Breeding), Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding, CCS HAU, Hisar, by 10:00 AM on 20 November 2026.
