APCOB Staff Assistant (Clerk) Exam Pattern 2026
The Staff Assistant examination is a single-stage online objective test consisting of 100 questions carrying 100 marks with a total time duration of 60 minutes. The paper is bilingual (English and Telugu), except for the English Language section.

APCOB Assistant Manager (Scale-I) Exam Pattern
For Assistant Manager positions, the selection includes an Online Written Examination followed by a Personal Interview. In certain cycles where General/Financial Awareness is included, the test structure comprises 4 sections:
- Reasoning Ability: 40 Questions (40 Marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude: 40 Questions (40 Marks)
- English Language: 40 Questions (40 Marks)
- General / Financial Awareness (focus on AP rural credit & cooperative banking): 40 Questions (40 Marks)
- Interview Stage: Candidates clearing the CBT are shortlisted for an interview carrying 20–25% weightage in final merit.
Negative Marking & Sectional Cutoff Scheme
Candidates must take note of the penalty scheme applied to objective multiple-choice questions:
- Penalty for Wrong Answers: For every question answered incorrectly, 0.25 (one-fourth) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
- Unanswered Questions: No penalty is applied for questions left blank.
- Qualifying Cutoff: Candidates must secure minimum qualifying cutoff marks in each individual test as well as minimum total marks to qualify for merit listing.

Puzzles and Seating Arrangements (Linear, Circular, Floor, Box-based), Syllogism, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Coding-Decoding, Inequalities, Order and Ranking, Alphanumeric Series, and Input-Output.
2. Quantitative Aptitude
Data Interpretation (Bar Graphs, Pie Charts, Tabular, Radar, Caselet DI), Number Series (Missing & Wrong Number), Quadratic Equations, Simplification & Approximation, Arithmetic word problems (Percentages, Profit & Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Work, Time, Speed & Distance, Averages, and Mixtures & Allegations).
3. English Language
Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Detection, Sentence Improvement, Para Jumbles, Fill in the Blanks, Phrase Replacement, and Vocabulary (Synonyms/Antonyms in context).
4. General & Financial Awareness
Recent RBI monetary policies, NABARD agricultural credit schemes, Andhra Pradesh state welfare schemes (Rythu Bharosa, cooperative credit societies, PACS), Banking awareness terminologies, Union and State Budgets, and National/International Current Affairs of the last 6 months.
