Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
The upper age limit is not exceeding 69 years as on the date of document verification and interview. Qualification requirements vary by post and specialty:
Professor
- MD / MS / DNB in the concerned subject with 8 years post-PG experience (including 3 years as Associate Professor)
- Required research publications in indexed journals
- Basic Course in Biomedical Research and Basic Course in Medical Education
Professor, Emergency Medicine
- MD / DNB (Emergency Medicine) OR MD / MS / DNB in General Medicine, General Surgery, Respiratory Medicine, Anaesthesia, or Orthopaedics
- 8 years post-PG experience with required publications and training
Professor, Transfusion Medicine
- MD / DNB (Immuno-Haematology & Blood Transfusion) OR MD / DNB (Transfusion Medicine) OR MD / DNB (Pathology)
- 8 years post-PG experience with required publications and training
Associate Professor
- MD / MS / DNB in the concerned subject with 5 years post-PG experience (including 4 years as Assistant Professor, or 5 years for direct Assistant Professor in Government institutions)
- Required research publications and training as per NMC norms
Associate Professor, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- MD / DNB (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) OR MS / MD / DNB (Medicine with Diploma in PMR) OR MS / DNB (General Surgery) OR MS / DNB (Orthopaedics)

Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Selection is based entirely on the candidate's performance in a walk-in interview before the Selection Board constituted by ESIC.
- Candidates must appear in person on the scheduled department-wise interview date with original documents and the prescribed filled application form.
- Document verification will be conducted on the day of interview (14 or 15 October 2026).
- Candidates must report between 09:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Candidates reporting beyond 10:30 AM shall not be considered.
- Mere submission of the application does not confer any right to be interviewed.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for joining the institution, for medical tests, or for submission of other documents.
- The Dean, ESI-PGIMSR, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Joka reserves the right to vary vacancies, increase or decrease, or cancel filling up of any or all posts without assigning any reason.

Important Notes: Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. Separate Demand Drafts must be issued if a candidate applies for more than one post. The fee once paid will not be refunded. No private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.
