ESIC Medical College Kolkata has advertised 24 contractual teaching faculty positions across 12 Super Specialty Departments. The consolidated monthly remuneration varies by post designation.

Department-Wise Breakdown

Consolidated remuneration is subject to revision matching Dearness Allowance rate changes as per Government of India orders. In addition to the consolidated pay, Super Specialty Teaching Faculty are entitled to transport allowance with DA on transport allowance as per rules. No other allowances will be paid.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

The academic qualification, teaching experience, and research experience for all posts will be as per the latest guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC), Gazette notification no. CG-DL-E-05072025-264399 dated 30.06.2025 (Table C & Table D). Candidates must hold:

• Appropriate postgraduate medical qualification (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent) in the relevant Super Specialty discipline
• Registration certificate from the State Medical Council or MCI/NMC
• Teaching and research experience as prescribed in NMC Table C (for Associate Professor) and Table D (for Professor) for the respective Super Specialty
• Research publications in indexed journals as required by NMC guidelines

Age Limit

The candidate's age must not exceed 69 years as on the date of document verification and interview. The maximum tenure of engagement shall not exceed 70 years of age.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection for all 24 contractual Teaching Faculty positions at ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka will be made on the basis of the performance of the candidate in an interview before the Selection Board constituted by the Dean.

• Stage 1 – Document Verification: Candidates must produce original documents, self-attested copies, and the Demand Draft (if applicable) during reporting.
• Stage 2 – Personal Interview: Candidates who clear document verification will be called for an interview before the Selection Board at the venue on 13 October 2026.

No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview, joining the institution, medical examination, or submission of documents.

Candidates reporting beyond 10:30 AM on 13 October 2026 will not be considered for the interview under any circumstances.
