Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications (Per UGC Regulations 2018)
- Academic Qualification: Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Eligibility Exemption: Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC (SLET/SET).
- Ph.D. Exemption: Candidates awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009 or 2016 (and amendments) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET. Note: Ph.D. candidates registered prior to July 11, 2009, must fulfill specific conditions regarding evaluation, publications, and viva voce.
- Foreign Ph.D.: Ph.D. obtained from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU) is also valid.
Age Limit
- Superannuated teachers may also be considered for engagement as Guest Faculty subject to a maximum age limit of 70 years.
Experience
- As per UGC Regulations 2018. Candidates serving in Government/Public Sector Undertakings must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of interview.
