The Andaman & Nicobar Administration invites applications from interested person for appointment to the post of Chairperson on Forum for Redressal of Grievances of Consumcrs set up in this UT under the said Regulation.

1. Name of the Post: Chairperson

2. Qualification: Chairperson of the Forum shall Judge/Additional District Judge or a rctired Judicial Officer having at least 20 ycars of cxperience in Legal/Judicial professioi or a retired civil servant not below the rank of a District Collector be a retircd district Or Shall be a retired Officer of any State/Central Power Sector Department/PSU/Autonomous Bodies in Power Sector not below the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent possessing degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Computer having at least 20 years experience or serving Officer of the power utilities not below the rank of Executive Engineer. (Not below the rank of Assistant Engineer in case of Lakshadwcep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands). Engincering and

3. Tenure:

(i) That the Chairperson shall hold office for a term of three years from date of appointment or till he attains the age of 65 years whichever is earliest as per provision (1) of regulation 10 of JERC notification dated 11.09.2019. The Licensee shall ensure that Working of Forum is not disrupted on account of non-filling ol the vacancy.

(ii) In case any Member decides to relinquish the post, he may do so after giving a notice of two (2) months in writing to Licensce or denosit two months salary in lieu thereof.

4. Allowances: The pay and allowances and other conditions of services o! the Member from amongst the serving officers shall be sanme as he shall be otherwise entitled while in service along with deputation allowarice as admissible. The Chairperson other than mentioned in class 7 () above shall be cligible to receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs.65,000/- (Rupees sixty five thousand only) per month. They shall also be entitled for TA/DA while out on duty as eligible to class-I officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary of level 12 in the Central Government, They shall also be entitled for 12 days casual leave in calendar year.
