Applications are invited for filling up the posts of Deputy Registrar, Principal Private Secretary, Tribunal Officer/Section Officer, Tribunal Master(Stenographer Grade-I), Assistant, Library Information Assistant and Division Clerk in the Armed Forces Tribunal, Regional Bench, Chandigarh on deputation basis for a period of three years from suitable candidates, who fulfill the eligibility conditions:-

1. Position : Deputy Registrar

2. No of Post : 01

3. Eligibility Conditions : Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Supreme Court or High Courts or District Courts or Statutory/Autonomous bodies having pensionary (a) (i) holding analogous post on basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) Five years regular service in the parent cadre or Department in a in level 10 of the Pay Matrix; or

(iii) Six years regular service in the parent cadre or Department in a post in level 8 of the Pay Matrix; or

(iv) Seven years regular service in the parent cadre or Department in a post in level 7 of the Pay Matrix; and (b) Having five years of experience in and Administrative or Judicial works

4. Desirable: Possessing a degree in law from a recognized university.

5. Pay Scale (Rs) : Pay Matrix, Level 11 (Rs 67700- 208700)

 

1. Position : Principal Private Secretary

2. No of Post : 04

3. Eligibility Conditions : Stenographer in Central Government or State Government or Supreme Court or High Courts or District Courts or Statutory/Autonomous bodies having pensionary benefits:- (a) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (b) with six years regular service in the parent cadre or Department in posts in level 8 of the Pay Matrix; or (c) with seven years in regular service in the parent cadre or Department in posts in level 7 of the Pay Matrix.

4. Desirable: Knowledge in computer operation.

5. Pay Scale (Rs) : Pay Matrix, Level 11 (Rs 67700- 208700)

 

1. Position : Tribunal Officer or Section Officer

3. Eligibility Conditions : Persons working under Central Government or State Governments or Supreme Court or High Courts or Subordinate Courts or Statutory/ Autonomous bodies having pensionary benefits:- (a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in parent cadre or department; or (ii) holding post in the Level - 6 of the Pay Matrix with five years regular service in the grade, and (b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:

(i) Degree of a recognized University; and

(ii) Having 2 years experience in personnel, administrative or judicial work.

4. Desirable: Degree in Law.

5. Pay Scale (Rs) : Pay Matrix Level — 7 (Rs 44900- 142400)

 

1. Position : Tribunal Master (Stenographer Grade -1)

2. No of Post : 01

3. Eligibility Conditions : Stenographers of the Central Government or Armed Forces or State Government or Supreme Court or High Courts or District Courts having bodies or Statutory/Autonomous pensionary benefits holding:- (i) the analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) post in the level 4 of the Pay Matrix (25500-81100) with 10 years regular service in the grade.

4. Desirable: Possessing a degree in law from a recognized university.

5. Pay Scale (Rs) : Pay Matrix, Level - 6 (Rs 35400- 112400)

 

1. Position : Assistant

2. No of Post : 01

3. Eligibility Conditions : Officials working under Central Government or State Governments or Supreme Court or High or Subordinates Courts or Courts Statutory/Autonomous bodies having pensionary benefits:- (a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) Upper Division Clerk in the level 4 of the Pay Matrix (25500-81100) with 10 years regular service in the grade in Central Government or State Governments or Supreme Court or High Courts or Subordinate Courts.

(b) (i) Possessing Degree from recognized University; and

4. Desirable: Possessing a degree in law from a recognized university.

5. Pay Scale (Rs) : Pay Matrix, Level 11 (Rs 67700- 208700)

 

1. Position : Library Information Assistant

2. No of Post : 01

3. Eligibility Conditions : Officials working under Central Government or State Governments or Supreme Court or High Courts or Subordinates Courts or Statutory/Autonomous bodies having pensionary benefits:- (a) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department;

(b) Essential:- (i) Bachelors Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognized University/lnstitute;

(ii) Two years professional experience in a Library under Central//State Government/ Autonomous or Statutory Organization/ PSU/ University or Recognized Research or Educational Institution. (c) Desirable: Diploma in Computer Application from recognized University or Institute.

4. Desirable: Diploma in Computer Application from recognized University or Institute.

5. Pay Scale (Rs) : Pay Matrix, Level - 6 (Rs 35400- 112400)

 

1. Position : Upper Division Clerk

2. No of Post : 01

3. Eligibility Conditions : Officials from Central Government or State Governments or Tribunals or Commissions or Statutory Bodies or Courts:-

(a) holding analogous posts on regular basis; or

(b) holding the post in the Pay Matrix Level-2 with eight years regular service in the grade.

4. Pay Matrix, Level - 4 (Rs 25500- 81100)

About Armed Forces Tribunal

The Armed Forces Tribunal Act 2007, was passed by the Parliament and led to the formation of AFT with the power provided for the adjudication or trial by Armed Forces Tribunal of disputes and complaints with respect to commission, appointments, enrolments and conditions of service in respect of persons subject to the Army Act, 1950, The Navy Act, 1957 and the Air Force Act, 1950. It can further provide for appeals arising out of orders, findings or sentences of courts- martial held under the said Acts and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Besides the Principal Bench in New Delhi, AFT has Regional Benches at Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Kochi, Mumbai, and Jaipur.
With the exception of the Chandigarh and Lucknow Regional Benches, which have three benches each, all other locations have a single bench. Each Bench comprises of a Judicial Member and an Administrative Member.
The Judicial Members are retired High Court Judges and Administrative Members are retired Members of the Armed Forces who have held rank of Major General/ equivalent or above for a period of three years or more, Judge Advocate General (JAG), who have held the appointment for at least one year are also entitled to be appointed as the Administrative Member.
