Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) was established on 23rd November 1986. BIS is the national Standards Body of India working under Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India. Bureau of Indian Standards headquarters is located in New Delhi. It also works as WTO-TBT enquiry point for India. Major function of BIS is the formulation, recognition and promotion of the Indian Standards. All foreign manufacturers of products who intend to export to India are required to obtain a BIS product certification license. Educational Qualification: Persons having Master’s Degree in relevant subject or technical qualifications like B.Tech, MBA, CA or equivalent in relevant field/subject, the details of which are provided in Annexure I. Desirable: Persons with M. Tech/M.Phil/ PhD or additional qualifications, research experience, published papers and post qualification experience in the relevant field would be preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of work experience relevant to the job description. The broad work experience shall be based on the functional areas of BIS. Preference will be given to persons with work experience in the relevant field supported by published work/ policy papers/ appraisal/ monitoring of projects & programmes etc.
Pay Scale: INR 50000/- per month.
Age Limit: Below 35 years of age as on 1st January 2018.
