Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a listed premier Mini Ratna Company of Government of India invites Online Applications from Indian citizens fulfilling the eligibility requirements, for filling up of the following Workmen posts on contract basis for CSL: 1. Position:ย Fabrication Assistant 2. No of Posts: 124 3.ย Educational Qualification:ย i. Pass in SSLC and ITI โNTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Sheet Metal Worker or Fitter. 4.ย Experience:ย i.ย Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in fabrication, i.e. cutting, fit up and welding process. 5.ย Remuneration:ย 23300/- toย 24800/- 6.ย Period of Contract: All posts above are temporary in nature and for a maximum period of three years subject to project requirements and individual performance. ย 1. Position:ย Outfit Assistants on Contract 2. No of Posts: 206 3.ย Educational Qualification:ย i.ย Pass in SSLC and ITI โNTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Fitter 4.ย Experience:ย Minimum of three years post qualification experience /training in the relevant trade 5.ย Remuneration:ย 23300/- toย 24800/- 6. Period of Contract: All posts above are temporary in nature and for a maximum period of three years subject to project requirements and individual performance. 7. ii.ย Pass in SSLC and ITI โNTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Welder/ Welder (Gas & Electric).

v.ย Pass in SSLC and ITI โNTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Painter
vi.ย Pass in SSLC and ITI โNTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Electrician.
vii.ย Pass in SSLC and ITI-NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic.
Pay Scale: INR 23300 - 24800(Per Month)
Age Limit: The upper age limit prescribed for all the posts shall not exceed 30 years as on 15 July 2022, i.e. applicants should be born on or after 16 July 1992.
Selection Procedure
a) The method of selection shall include Phase I - Objective type online test and Phase II Practical Test, as detailed under:ย Phase I : Objective type online Test โ 30 marks Phase II : Practical Test โ 70 marks (Based on grades obtained in Practical test)ย Total-100 marks
b) Depending upon the number of online applications, the objective type test shall be held at various test centres in Kerala or at Kochi as decided by CSL. The applicants have the option to choose test centres in Kerala for the online test while completing their online application. The allocation of examination centre shall be at the sole discretion of CSL.
c) The Objective type Online test shall be of 35 minutes duration comprising of 30 Multiple Choice Questions and consists of two parts - General (Part A-10 marks) and Trade related (Part B- 20 marks). Each question carries one mark. There shall be no negative marks.
d) Mark lists for each post shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the Phase -I Objective type online test. Candidates who score minimum pass marks and above in the Phase I - Objective test shall be short listed for certificate verification.
e) Candidates who successfully complete the certificate verification shall be shortlisted to attend Phase-II Practical test on a later date. The Phase II Practical test shall be held at CSL, Kochi.
f) The minimum pass mark each for Phase I Objective as well as Phase II Practical tests shall be as below:- For unreserved posts & for EWS candidatesโ 50 % of Total Marks of each test, For OBC Candidates โ 45 % of Total Marks of each test only for vacancies reserved for OBC, For SC/ST Candidates โ 40% of Total Marks of each test only for vacancies reserved for SC/ST. For PwBD Candidates - 40 % of Total Marks of each test
g) Rank lists for each post shall be prepared based on marks secured by the candidates meeting the notified eligibility requirements and who pass in both Phase I โ Objective and Phase โII Practical tests. In case, same aggregate marks are secured by more than one candidate, marks scored in the trade part of the Objective type test shall be the basis of determining the order of rank list. In case of a tie thereafter, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in age
h) Depending upon the number of online applications received, CSL reserves the right to scrutinise applications for various posts and prepare shortlist of candidates based on meeting eligibility requirements ascertained through the certificates uploaded by the applicants in the online application portal and only such shortlisted candidates may be permitted to attend the selection process.

3.ย Applicants should go to the website www.cochinshipyard.in (Career page ๏ CSL, Kochi) and proceed to the link for online application. The application consists of two phases โย Registration and Submission of application. Applicants should not submit more than one application to the same post. Application once submitted shall be final.
4.ย Applicants meeting the notified requirements may go through the instructions on the online application page, complete the Registration and submit their application online through the online application facility from 30 June 2022 and the facility can be accessed through our website www.cochinshipyard.in (Career page โ CSL, Kochi).
5. Application submitted direct or by any other mode shall not be accepted.
6.ย Applicants should ensure that all the entries in the online application have been correctly filled in and application submitted successfully. Change in the data provided in the application after final submission of the same through online will not be considered. Filling of garbage/junk details in any of the fields can lead to rejection of application
7.ย Application must be complete in all respects as per this Advertisement Notification. Please note that incomplete applications shall not be considered.
8.ย After applying through online, applicants should retain a soft copy/ printout of the online application containing the unique registration number generated by the system for their reference
9. It is important to note that, the unique registration number shall be obtained only upon successful submission of online application. The Registration Number on the online application should be quoted for any correspondence with CSL.
10.ย Applicants need not send the online application print out/ certificates/ application fee in the form of DD/Challan/Cheque by post to CSL
11.ย The website will remain functional for the purpose of submitting applications from 30 June 2022 and the last date for submission of applications through online is 15 July 2022.
