Educational Qualification: Full-time UG/PG degree in social work, rural development, development studies, public policy, public administration, post Graduate Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation or any other relevant discipline from a reputed university preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years post qualification experience of working with National/State Govt. and/or development/donor/similar organization/s with direct experience of working on programs for empowerment of persons with disabilities. Experience of working with community organisations of persons with disabilities and families such as DPOs and community based organisations will be preferred.

Selection Procedure

The Directorate for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled was established by bifurcating the Directorate of Social Welfare in 1992 to deal exclusively with the Welfare of the Disabled. Subsequently, the Directorate was upgraded as the office of the State Commissioner for the Disabled in 1999 as per the provisions in the Persons With Disability Act, 1995.
