About Dairy Development Department Kerala
The Dairy Development Department was started in the year 1962. The initial thrust of the department was on the establishment of processing facilities in a few major centers of the state. Today department's activities are focused on the holistic development of the dairy sector in the state. Department is concerned about the socio-economic stability of dairy farmers in the state and envisages and implements various projects and schemes targeting the dairy sector. The department is also the nodal agency for fodder development activities.
