About Delhi Public Library
Delhi Public Library (DPL), was established in the year 1951. It is an autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Culture and Governed by the Government of India.
The main objective of organization is to provide free public library and information services to the people of National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.They also act as community center for informal education and model for public library development in India. It has wide collection of books in Hindi, English, Urdu, Punjabi & other Indian Languages.
The Library has a wide network spread all over Delhi like, Zonal Libraries, Community Libraries, Deposit Station, Mobile Libraries, Braille Library. The library offer service to children and also organises cultural activities such as lectures, Debates, Exhibition, etc.
