Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for All Posts (BPM, ABPM, Dak Sevak)
- Essential Qualification: Secondary School Examination (SSE) pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English conducted by any recognized Board of School Education. The applicant should have studied the local language at least up to 10th Standard.
- Essential Skills: Knowledge of computers, knowledge of cycling, and adequate means of livelihood.
- Desirable: Ability to work in rural areas, ability to use smartphones/laptops/computer devices. Candidates applying for BPM posts must be able to arrange accommodation for running the Branch Post Office at their own cost.
Age Limit & Relaxation
- Age Limit (as on 16/02/2026): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 40 years.
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation.
- OBC: 3 years relaxation.
- PwBD: 10 years relaxation.
- PwBD + OBC: 13 years relaxation.
- PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years relaxation.

Selection Process
Selection will be based on a system-generated merit list prepared based on marks obtained in the Secondary School Examination (10th standard). Merit will be calculated to an accuracy of 4 decimals. In case of ties, priority is given based on age (older) and specific category order (ST/SC/OBC/EWS/UR and Trans-woman/Female categories). Shortlisted candidates will be contacted via SMS/Email for document verification.
