Applications are invited in the Proforma given in the from the officers working under Central Government through proper channel for flling up of two posts of Registrar in the Appellate Tribunal under Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act, 1976, New Delhi on deputation basis.

2. Salary: 15,600-39,100+ G.P. Rs. 6,600 (Pre-revised)
3. Eligibility Criteria:
(i) holding analogous posts; or
(ii) with five years' service in posts in the scale of R 8000-275-13500 (pre-revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; or
(iii) with eight years' regular service in posts in the scale of 6500-200-10500 (pre- revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; and Possessing experience in administration, establishment and accounts matters and preferably degree in Law from recognized University or equivalent.
4. Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding Organization/Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years. this appointment in the same or Some other

The Department of Revenue functions under the overall direction and control of the Secretary (Revenue). It exercises control in respect of matters relating to all the Direct and Indirect Union Taxes through two statutory Boards namely, the Central Bord of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). Each Board is headed by a Chairman who is also ex-officio Special Secretary to the Government of India. Matters relating to the levy and collection of all Direct Taxes are looked after by the CBDT whereas those relating to levy and collection of Customs and Central Excise duties and other Indirect Taxes fall within the purview of the CBIC. The two Boards were constituted under the Central Board of Revenue Act, 1963. At present, the CBDT has six Members and the CBIC has six Members. The Members are also ex-officio Special Secretaries to the Government of India.
