Sub.:Engagement of Consultants in Regional Telecommunication Engineering Centre, SR, 4th Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore on short- term contract basis.
1. Position: Multi Tasking Staff
2. No of post: 01
3. Scale of Pay (as per 6th commission): PB-I Rs. 5200- 20200
4. Eligibility Condition: A. Officers/ Official who has worked under Central/ State Government or BSNL/ MTNL and at thc time of retirement was i) holding analogous post of MTS in CDA scale as revised from time to time. OR ii) holding the analogous post of MTS in IDA scale as revised from time to time.
B. Desirable experience: i) Working experience of two or more years in the respective post. ii) Working knowledge of computer and utility software, Ms Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.).
5. Placement: The consultant would be attached with TEC SR, Bangalore and DDG SR RTEC Bangalore may further attach the consultant with one of the subordinate officers for reporting and work assignments. The attendance record and the details of work supervision shall be maintained by TEC SR, Bangalore. The work of consultant will also be monitored through periodical interactions by the assigned controlling Officer.
6. Leave: Paid leaves of absence will be allowed at the rate of 1.5 days for each completed month of service. Accumulation of leave bcyond calendar year shall not be allowed.

Selection Procedure
1. After the preliminary scrutiny regarding the eligibility, the applications of shortlisted candidates will be placed before the selection committee.
2. A Three-member Selection Committee would be formed to go through the applications received and draw a panel for the cadre.
3. The Selection Committee may conduct personal or telephonic interview, if required .No TA / DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the personal interview.
4. Depending upon the number of applications received, Selection Committee may shortlist the best candidates as per the required number of vacancies to be filled during the particular period. The committee may also decide the suitability criteria, screening size of empanelled list, etc. on case to case basis.

Delayed/ Incomplete applications will be rejected summarily.
