The Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP), one of the media units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, is engaged in the task of publicizing various programmes and policies of the government. Information on formats of publicity programmes such as film shows, song and drama, oral communication, special programmes, etc is given. Details of regional offices of the DFP are also available.

Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP) is the Media unit of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. DFP is Involved in the task of publicizing various programmes and policies of the Government. Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP) was established in the year 1959. After the Sino-India war in 1962 and the Indo-Pak War in 1965, 34 more new units were created in 1963 and another 33 in 1965 for publicity exclusively in the border areas. At present, out of the total strength of 207 Field Units, 61 are Border Units. Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP) recruitment offers great career opportunities for several posts such as Field Publicity Assistant, Driver, Store Keeper. Interested candidates can pursue courses in Graduation + Should be familiar with Operation of Audio Visual Equipment, Public Address System etc, 10th Class + Possess Valid Driving Licence for LMV, Graduate + Possession of valid driving license for LMV, Matriculation, for a great career at Directorate of Field Publicity.
