The District and Sessions Court, Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad District Court) functions under the administrative control of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad. It serves as the primary trial court for both civil and criminal matters across the Prayagraj district in Uttar Pradesh.

The court complex is headed by the District & Sessions Judge and includes a hierarchy of judicial officers handling various jurisdictions: Civil Courts: District Judge, Additional District Judges (ADJ), Civil Judge (Senior Division), and Civil Judge (Junior Division). Criminal Courts: Sessions Court, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Additional Chief Judicial Magistrates (ACJM), and Judicial Magistrates.
