Applications are invited only from Indian citizens for the following purely project based temporary positions under various projects at Kosi-Katarmal (Almora) campus of the Institute. The candidate with adequate qualification may appear for Walk-In-Interview on 12.01.2022 at (11:00 A.M onwards). Candidates appearing for Walk-In-Interview must bring all original copies (with xerox copy) of certificates, testimonials, experience etc along with an application.

1. Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

2. No of Post: 01

3. Emoluments: Rs.31,000/- + HRA @ 8% per month for first two years and Rs.35,000/- + HRA @ 8% for third year.

4. Qualification: First Class Master degree in Soil & Water Conservation/ Hydrology/ Water Resource Development & Management/ Civil/ Environmental Engg. from recognized university

5. NMHS funded project on “Spring Rejuvenation for Water Security in Himalaya”

6. Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having research experience/ knowledge of water resource/watershed development and assessment works, groundwater or spring rejuvenation work, groundwater recharge experimentation planning, hydrogeological investigation for groundwater recharge, hydrological simulation modeling, soil and water conservation, application of RS and GIS etc.

7. Nature of Duties: JRF will be responsible for Analytical work of the projects, Coordination with 11 partners of the projects, Design and analysis of hydro-geological work and groundwater rejuvenation work, Rainfall-runoff analysis, Capacity building programmes, Compilation and writing of report (quarterly basis) and other research publications, Help PIs in other research related works, Candidate will be posted in GBPNIHE HQ – Almora or on field at Mandunga, Lohaghat based on need.
