About Government College Of Dentistry Indore

The Govt. College of Dentistry is located in Indore that took place in the year 1961. It is the only Government Dental College in the state of M.P which has dental department of M.Y. Hospital and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore.The college has its affiliations with Indore University from the time it took place in year 1995. its establishment in 1965. The university of Indore is now named as Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. The course, curriculum and examination are given by the Faculty of Dentistry.

The founder of this are called as "Tridev (The Trio)" who are Dr. S.L. Mangi, Late Dr. G.L. Sharma, the then Director of Health Service MP and Late Shri Mishrilalji Gangwal, Honorable Ex-minister, MP. It was started as as a sub part of M.G.M. Medical College, Indore that consisted of 19 students to BDS Course.The College of Dentistry was under the leadership of Principal Dr. S.L.Mangi, who had a great reputation in World of Dental Education nationally and internationally. Till now , more than 1200 graduates and 60 postgraduate have passed out from this institution and who not only have jobs in M.P and Chhattisgarh but in other state as well as country.
