The purpose of this job is to carry out procurement activities related to Chemical & Coal and support the team on day-to-day departmental activities.

a) Name of the Post: Assistant Manager - Procurement (Coal)

b) Roles and Responsibilities

1. Carrying out raw material procurement activities related to Coal-based power plants & Chemicals.

2. Experience in handling domestic & international suppliers.

3. Experience in handling Logistics of raw materials movement from Source to plant through Ship and should have some knowledge on port activities. Moreover added knowledge preferred of road and rail.

4. Manage inventory and transit loss/ground loss.

5. Getting uninterrupted supply by liasioning with port, railways, and other concerned authorities.

6. Manage supplies, establish operations or delivery plans, and monitor the functioning of the plant with logistics support.

7. Effective logistics planning with Customs & logistics group for imports to maintain a smooth supply of material at right time and with the right quality.

8. Tracking and maintaining inventory levels of materials to meet production & dispatch targets.

9. Preparation of Monthly Reports of Procurement.

10. Ensure On-time delivery of materials at Plant.

11. Coordinate with suppliers & finance team to clear all invoices and ensure timely payment of suppliers.

c) Competencies Required in Performing the Job:

1. Understanding of Procurement process.

2. Exposure in Vendor Development & Management.

3. SAP experience good to have SAP Ariba exposure

4. Agile and ready to work under pressure.

d) Desired Candidate Profile: Engineering graduate with SAP Ariba Exposure preferable with minimum 4 years of experience in similar kind of a role.
