Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Qualification for Senior Resident: MDS in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics
• Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on the date of interview
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years; EBC/BC – 3 years; Female candidates (all categories) – 3 years
• Citizenship: Only Indian citizens may attend the walk-in interview
• Reservation: Reservation benefit applies to Bihar State domicile candidates only; applicants from outside Bihar are not entitled to reservation
• Employed Candidates: Must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer; candidates without NOC will not be considered
• Non-Practising Clause: The post is non-practising. Private practice of any kind, including laboratory, is strictly prohibited
• Residency: Stay in campus is compulsory if accommodation is provided; otherwise HRA is paid as per rules

Pay and Terms of Engagement

The appointment is an ad-hoc contract under the 89-days Senior Residency Programme. Key terms include:

• Pay: As per the Institution's Rules; Pay + NPA plus other allowances as per rule
• Duration: Ad-hoc appointment under the 89-days Senior Residency Programme
• Legal Bond: One month's emoluments must be paid for every year of the programme not completed if the incumbent leaves mid-way
• Termination: Appointment will be terminated immediately if private practice of any kind is found
• This is a contractual/temporary post and does not carry permanent government cadre benefits

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection is based entirely on the walk-in interview process conducted on 17 November 2026. The stages are:

1. Document Verification – on the same day before the interview (report by 10:00 AM)
2. Walk-In Interview – at 11:00 AM with a PowerPoint Presentation of thesis and publications to be carried on a pen-drive
3. Marking Out of 100 Marks by the Selection Committee:
   • BDS – 10 marks
   • MDS – 10 marks
   • Additional qualification – 10 marks
   • Publications – 10 marks
   • Poster/Presentation – 10 marks
   • Awards – 10 marks
   • Training – 10 marks
   • Project – 10 marks
   • Subject Knowledge – 20 marks
4. Minimum Qualifying Percentile: UR – 50th percentile; BC/EBC/EWS – 45th percentile; SC/ST – 40th percentile
5. Final Selection by the Selection Committee based on bio-data and interview performance

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Canvassing in any form will be treated as a disqualification. Merit selection does not by itself confer the right of appointment.

8. Valid Category / Caste / Creamy Layer / EWS / Domicile Certificate from Circle Officer, Bihar (if claiming reservation)
9. NOC from Employer if currently employed, or a written statement of not being employed nor pursuing any course
10. NMC Declaration Form and appearance before NMC Team for 2026-27
11. Two recent passport-size photographs and valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
