Name of the Project: Metabolic Organisation and Regulation in KRAS driven Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma 5. Qualification and experience as per MoE guidelines (F. No.12-2/2019-U1 dated January 31, 2019), F. No. 51- 07/2019-TS.VII (VoI. -Il) dated October 04, 2019 or as per the guidelines of the funding agency: Candidates with a recent M.Sc./ BS/MS dual degree/ B. Tech or equivalent with good academic record. 6. Period of engagement: 6 months 7. Fellowship/Remuneration per month (₹): Rs. 20,000/- 8. Job requirement: The position is available in the laboratory of Cellular Metabolism headed by Dr. Vinay Bulusu. The laboratory’s focus is to understand metabolic regulation in embryonic development and diseases such as cancer. The current project focuses on understanding the metabolic vulnerabilities of KRAS driven Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The candidate is expected to have some prior lab experience in protein biochemistry, cell culture and molecular biology techniques.

The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), are a group of premier science education and research institutes in the country. These institutions have been declared by Act of Parliament as institutions of national importance, and are intended to be the IITs of basic sciences. The institutes were created by the Government of India, through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), under The National Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Bill, 2010, which was passed by the Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012. Seven IISERs have been established across India, namely IISER Kolkata in West Bengal, IISER Pune in Maharashtra, IISER Mohali in Punjab, IISER Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, IISER Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, IISER Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh and IISER Berhampur in Odisha.Together with the IISER at Berhampur, Odisha that commenced in 2016.
