Applications are invited for the positions of Project Assistant for the Research Network Project under the DBT-DFG collaborative Research Centre Program (Indo-German collaboration) sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

1. Positions available: Project Assistant – 01 (based in Bangalore)
2. Project Title: “Nature conservation in urbanising landscapes - Understanding socioecological interactions around protected areas in Bangalore’s rural-urban interface”
3. Essential Qualifications: Graduate degree (BSc / BA / Diploma in engineering or equivalent) with at least 55% over all marks. Excellent Kannada language skills
4. Desirable Qualifications: Good computer skills. Prior research experience.
5. Key Responsibilities: Planning and execution of field work in peri urban Bangalore. Travel to field sites, data collection and interaction with stakeholders.
6. Emoluments: Rs.20000 per month + 24% HRA.
7. Period of Engagement: 03 Years
8. Appointment will be for 3 (three) years or till the termination of the project, whichever is earlier and subject to annual review for further extension that will be granted based on the research progress.

Selection Procedure
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for further online interview. Please note that this is a project-related contractual position and has nothing to do with the permanent establishment of IIFM, Bhopal. Based on these positions, any claim for regular appointment in IIFM will not be entertained.

The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) was established in 1982. It is an autonomous, public institute of sectoral management located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It was established by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and course assistance from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The institute's objective is to fulfill the growing need for the managerial human resource in the area of Forest, Environment, and Natural resources Management and allied sectors.
