Educational Qualification: M.Sc
Applications are invited for engagement as Junior Research Fellow on Contract basis for the project “Developing Forest Health Index for Improving Management Effectiveness and Optimizing Ecological, Social and Economic Benefits of Forest-dependent Communities of Madhya Pradesh”
1. Name of Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
2. No. of position: 01 (One)
3. Period of engagement: 12 months. The project involves fieldwork.
4. Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA as per norms. TA/DA will be provided as per norms during the fieldwork. No other allowances are admissible.
5. Essential Qualification and Experience: The candidate should have Post Graduate degree in Forestry / Environmental Science from a recognized University/ Institute with not less than 60% marks/first division
6. Desirable Qualification/ Experience:
a) One publication in a good journal
b) Excellent writing skills (briefs and research reports).
c) Well conversant in English & Hindi.

The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) was established in 1982. It is an autonomous, public institute of sectoral management located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It was established by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and course assistance from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The institute's objective is to fulfill the growing need for the managerial human resource in the area of Forest, Environment, and Natural resources Management and allied sectors.
IIFM has developed as an educational, research, training and consultancy organization in the area of Forest, Environment and Natural Resources Management and allied sectors. As a campus, IIFM is famous for its rich flora and fauna with sightings of various wild mammals and birds within the campus.
IIFM conducts following courses: Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Management (PFM), M.Phil. in Natural Resource Management (MRM) and Fellow Program in Management (FPM) equivalent to Ph.D.
