Educational Qualification: Any Masters Degree, M.Phil/Ph.D

The position of Head for center for Teaching & Learning is being especially created for providing leadership and support for emerging learning technologies and online education through faculty professional development and instructional design.

1. Name of the Post: Head for center for Teaching & Learning

2. Contract Duration - 2 years (renewable)

3. Joining Date - As soon as possible

4. Salary - Competitive; Commensurate with experience

5. Key Responsibilities:

a. Research and evaluate emerging learning technologies as they apply to instruction, participate in strategic planning, recommend and promote best practices for teaching and learning

b. Develop, coordinate and assist in collaborative training for online education cohorts, new faculty orientation, and other instructional professional development programs

c. Advise and assist faculty in designing online courses using instructional technologies and pedagogy

d. Implement the Quality Matters assessment process for online courses, assist faculty in the assessment of core competencies and to transform all courses in support of core competencies

e. Lead and coordinate team support of online education, faculty learning communities, and provide individual faculty consultation

f. Coordinate faculty review of online programs and courses, including course/instructor surveys

g. Supervise Teaching and Learning support staff

h. Perform other related duties as assigned

i. To identify development needs within staff/faculty and propose ways to support identified need

j. Management of the AACSB accreditation & rankings, and any new accreditation related to the Institute.

6. Key Requirements:

a. Master’s Degree. PhD degree would be an added advantage.

b. Ability to work effectively with professionals in an academic setting.

c. Documented evidence of technological expertise in an educational setting, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position.

d. Experience as an instructional faculty member in higher education, including online instruction.
