Recruitment Overview

Applications are invited from eligible and motivated candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur. This opportunity is for a research project funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, entitled "Investigations on Micro Nano Plastics (MNPS) Fingerprinting in Cruciferous Truck Crops, with Special Reference to Brassica oleracea spp."

This is a Direct Recruitment for a temporary position. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Kuldeep Sharma. The position offers a competitive monthly stipend and is a great opportunity for candidates with a strong background in Life Sciences and research.

Eligibility Criteria (In-Depth)

1. Educational Qualification

  • Essential: M.Sc. in Botany / Environmental Science / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Polymer Science or related disciplines with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PH candidates).
  • Essential Requirement: B.Sc. with Botany or Life Sciences is essential.
  • Desirable: Candidates possessing NET (CSIR/UGC/ICAR) or GATE or equivalent national-level examination as per DBT norms are preferred.

2. Experience Requirements (Desirable)

Candidates with the following experience will be given preference:

  • Plant physiological/ biochemical analysis.
  • Advanced microscopy (Phase contrast/Fluorescence/Confocal).
  • Nanomaterial studies or environmental toxicology.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and research publications.

3. Age Limit & Relaxation

The age limit will be determined as per University/DBT norms. The notification does not specify a specific cut-off date for age calculation, so candidates are advised to ensure they meet the standard age requirements for research fellowships in Government of India projects.

Selection Procedure

The selection for the JRF position is based on the following stages:
