Eligibility Criteria (In-Depth)

1. Educational Qualification

  • Essential: M.Sc. in Botany / Environmental Science / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Polymer Science or related disciplines with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PH candidates).
  • Essential Requirement: B.Sc. with Botany or Life Sciences is essential.
  • Desirable: Candidates possessing NET (CSIR/UGC/ICAR) or GATE or equivalent national-level examination as per DBT norms are preferred.

2. Experience Requirements (Desirable)

Candidates with the following experience will be given preference:

  • Plant physiological/ biochemical analysis.
  • Advanced microscopy (Phase contrast/Fluorescence/Confocal).
  • Nanomaterial studies or environmental toxicology.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and research publications.

3. Age Limit & Relaxation

The age limit will be determined as per University/DBT norms. The notification does not specify a specific cut-off date for age calculation, so candidates are advised to ensure they meet the standard age requirements for research fellowships in Government of India projects.

Selection Procedure

The selection for the JRF position is based on the following stages:
