Eligibility for Senior Research Fellow

• Essential Qualification:
  Option 1: M.Tech./ME/MS in Metallurgy, Ceramic, Polymer/Plastic, Mechanical, Chemical Technology, Rubber Technology, Nanotechnology, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Steel Technology, Process Metallurgy, Welding, Industrial Metallurgy, Foundry, Production, Surface Science. Must have First Class (65% or 7.0 CPI) in M.Tech., GATE/NET qualification, and First Class (60% or 6.5 CPI) in B.Tech./BE, 12th, and 10th.
  Option 2: B.Tech./BE/M.Sc in Metallurgy, Ceramic, Polymer/Plastic, Mechanical, Chemical Technology, Nanotechnology, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Foundry, Production. Must have 75% or 8.0 CPI (Non-IITs) or 7.0 CPI (IITs/IISc) with valid GATE score, and First Class (60% or 6.5 CPI) in 12th and 10th.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience as JRF is mandatory for both qualification routes.
• Desirable: Working/research experience in Ceramic/metal composites, Nanocomposites, Environmental engineering, Composite fabrication, Microstructure/Phase analysis, Mechanical and Tribological characterization.

Age Limit

• Maximum 28 years for candidates with BE/B.Tech/M.Sc as highest qualification.
• Maximum 32 years for candidates with ME/M.Tech/MS as highest qualification.
• Relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PD as per GOI norms.
