Applications are invited for a “Project Assistant” position in DBT funded project in the Dept. of Biological Sciences (DBS), IISER Kolkata, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal 741246.
i. This position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project mentioned above.

3. Project Title: “Campylobacter jejuni Outer Membrane Vesicles: Role in Host-Pathogen Interaction and vaccine perspectives”
4. Principal Investigator: Dr. Amirul Islam Mallick, Associate Professor
5. Qualification: Essential qualification: MSc in Biotechnology/Zoology/Molecular biology/Microbiology or related field in Life Sciences. Preference will be given to NET/GATE/equivalent National Level Tests qualified candidates.
6. Desirable Qualifications:
Prior experience in animal handling (mice/chickens) and working in the area of virus propagation, purification and quantification will be preferred. In addition, candidates with experience in working with cell culture, molecular biology techniques, immunological assays (ELISA, Western blot, FACS, Immunofluorescence) are desirable. Prior experience in animal experimentation (mice/chickens) will be preferred.
7. Salary: INR 20,000 per month plus HRA as per the rule.

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata) was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (now Ministry of Education), Government of India. IISER Kolkata is designed to reach the prestigious position in the global setting that IISc, IIMs and IITs presently enjoy. IISER Kolkata is an autonomous institution awarding its own degrees.
