Educational Qualification: LLB

The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad invites applications for engagement of a part-time Legal Advisor on purely contractual basis, for one year initially and renewable on year to year basis up to a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory performance to be evaluated by the Competent Authority. The details regarding eligibility criteria, terms of references etc. are as under:

1. Position : Part time Legal Advisor

2. No of Post : 01

3. Essential: (i) LLB from university / Institute, recognized by the Bar Council of India; and (ii) At least 10 years legal experience as an advocate out of which at least three years' experience in dealing with the legal matters including labour laws related to Central Government Organizations. (iii) Must be practicing in Dhanbad Courts and residing at Dhanbad.

4. Desirable: Empaneled advocate of Central Government Organizations/ Central Government Counsel.

5. Remuneration: A consolidated remuneration of Rs. 20,000/- per month shall be admissible.

6. Allowances: No other allowance shall be admissible.

7. Hours of Duty: The Legal Advisor will be required to attend Office at least 6 hours in a week (2 hours x 3 days in a week).

8. Period of engagement: The Legal Advisor will initially be engaged for a period of one year extendable up to three years. The engagement can be extended or curtailed depending upon the performance of the incumbent and requirement of the Institute.
