3. Project title: “Characterization of energy metabolism in patients with chronic liver disease (CLD) and the effect of Indirect Calorimeter (IC) based nutrition therapy on the clinical outcomes in critically ill patients with liver cirrhosis”.

4. Project duration (years): Three years (20.01.2022-04.01.2025)

5. Laboratory/Department: Dept. of Clinical Nutrition, ILBS, New Delhi

6. Job description: Calibrating, handling and performing Indirect Calorimetry (after training) Collecting, receiving, labeling, and/or analyzing blood, urine and stool samples Designing and executing laboratory testing in line with standard testing procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings. Recording all experimental data and test results accurately and in the specified format (written and/or electronic.)

a. Organizing and storing all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions. Ensuring that safety guidelines are adhered to at all times within the laboratory. Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books. Cleaning, sterilizing, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment. Providing technical support, when necessary. Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments.

7. Eligibility: Essential – 1 st class B.Sc (preferably in life sciences / biochemistry / microbiology) and /or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Techniques (DMLT) from a recognized university with minimum 2 years of experience of working in a laboratory should apply

8. Desirable – Experience with clinical setup

9. Remuneration: As per the current guidelines of ICMR (Rs. 18000/-)
