The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) is a premier, national-level Institute for Postgraduate, Doctoral and Mid-career/in-service education, training, research, and consulting in rural management. Founded in 1979, IRMA’s mission is to promote all-around sustainable rural development through professional management.

1. Post Name: Associate Editor

2. Qualification and Experience: The incumbent should have a master’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or allied fields with at least three years of experience, preferably in a reputed academic Institute. Applicant must have demonstrated acumen for writing, excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi. A sound understanding of publishing procedures, technical and non-technical writing is a must for a successful applicant.

3. Remuneration and Tenure: The appointment will be made purely on a three-year contract with a consolidated remuneration between Rs.32,000/- to Rs.37,000/- per month. The Director, IRMA reserves the right to make relaxations in the prescribed qualifications/ experience if found suitable.

4. Job Description: 

A) Assist the faculty and staff with tasks related to both academic and non-academic publications, research papers, projects, and annual reports.

B) Provide guidance to staff members on writing conventions and style. Collaborating with designers, writers, photographers, and other agencies.

C) Review documents from concept to final edit to ensure they meet academic, scientific, and technical standards and regulatory requirements.

D) Evaluate a wide range of marketing, scientific, and other confirmations submitted in support of institutional papers and documents.

E) Strengthen the overall writing structure in the institute by improving internal documentation and complying with the writing conventions of higher education and research institutions.
