Educational Qualification:
(i) Bachelor's Degree with Economics as a subject from a recognised University;
(ii) Five years' experience in the field of Economics Policy including Planning and Financial Management. Desirable:
(i) Master's Degree in Economics or Master's Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from recognised university or Institute.
(ii) One year teaching experience in Economics Policy or Financial Management or One-year experience in imparting or Organisation Training in Economic Policy, Planning or Financial Management.

Pay Scale:
INR
15600-39100/- Per Month

Age Limit: Maximum 56 Years.

About Institute of Secretariat Training & Management

The Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) formally came into being in May, 1948, which was known at that time as the “Secretariat Training School”. The present name of the Institute as “Institute of Secretariat Training and Management” or ISTM, in short, was awarded later in 1971 with the motto “Efficiency and the Public Good”.

The mandate of the Institute is to impart training to officers of Central Secretariat Service (CSS), Central Secretariat Stenographers Service (CSSS) and officers of other organised/subsidiary services functioning in the Central Secretariat. CSS officers form the backbone of the Central Government Ministries/Departments and normally hold various positions up to the level of Joint Secretaries. The key responsibilities of the CSS officers include policy formulation, execution, monitoring and review.
