Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Professor:
  • Ph.D. in concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
  • At least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals.
  • Research score of 120 (as per criteria).
  • Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience (or equivalent).
• Associate Professor:
  • Ph.D. in concerned/relevant/allied disciplines.
  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.
  • Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience.
  • At least 7 publications with a research score of 75.
• Assistant Professor:
  • Master’s Degree with 55% marks in relevant subject.
  • Must have cleared NET/UGC/CSIR or SLET/SET.
  • Exemption: Candidates with Ph.D. (as per UGC Regs 2009) are exempt from NET/SLET/SET.

Department-wise Special Requirements

• Biochemistry & Biophysics: M.Sc. in Biochemistry (specific specialization required for different Associate posts).
• Environmental Science: M.Sc. in Env. Science/Botany/Zoology/Earth Science/Geology/Geography.
• Library & Information Science: Specialization in Resource Description and Content Designation.
• Philosophy: Open specialization as per departmental requirements.

Age Limit (Assistant Professor)

Age as on: 01 January 2026

• Upper Limit: 40 years.
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (Max 45 years).
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation (Max 43 years).
• Differently-abled: 10 years relaxation (Max 50 years).

Marks Relaxation

• 5% relaxation at Graduate and Master’s level for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/Differently-abled.
• 55% to 50% relaxation at Master’s level for Ph.D. holders (Degree obtained before 19 Sept 1991).
