The bank was formed with the collaboration of two Regional Rural Banks of Kerala, are South Malabar Gramin Bank (SMGB), North malabar Gramin Bank (NMGB) through a notification by the government of India. Kerala Gramin Bank is the largest Regional Rural Bank (RRB) in the Country.
The main objective of Kerala Gramin Bank (KGB), is to improve the economy of the rural and semi urban areas by providing Finance and other support for Agriculture, Trade, Commerce, Industry and create employment opportunities in the villages and small town.
