Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) a 50:50 Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Kerala incorporated for the implementation of the Kochi Metro Rail project and for its Operation & Maintenance and also for providing support for integrating the operations and network of all the urban transportation modes in the city of Kochi, with a commuter- centric focus intends to appoint a person on Fixed term Contract/ Deputation/ Re-employment basis in KMRL 1. Name of the post: Asst. Chief Manager (Urban Transport) on Contract or Deputy General Manager / Sr. Deputy General Manager (Urban Transport) on Deputation / Re-employment 2. Total No. of post: 01 3. Type of employment: i) Fixed Term Contract: As Assistant Chief Manager (Urban Transport) On Fixed term contract basis for three years, can be further extended for additional period of one year subject to consistent good performance, conduct and requirement OR ii) On DEPUTATION Basis: As Deputy General Manager/ Sr. Deputy General Manager (Urban Transport): As per the deputation Terms & conditions OR iii) On Re-employment basisAs Deputy General Manager/ Sr. Deputy General Manager (Urban Transport) Till attaining the age of superannuation in KMRL i.e. 60 years at present 4. Essential: Diploma/ BE/ B Tech in Automobile/ Transportation Engineering 5. Desirable: Post Graduate in any field 6. Experience For recruitment on Fixed term contract: Minimum 15 years post qualification experience in any of the transport related domains, viz., administration, operation, implementation or enforcement. 7. For recruitment on Deputation basis: Officers of Government Departments / Organizations / PSUs in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 (Grade pay Rs.7600/-; CDA pattern) or in the pay scale of Rs.70000-200000/- or Rs. 80000-220000 (IDA pattern) or its equivalent pay scales in State Government Transport departments with minimum 15 years of experience in any of the transport related domains, viz., administration, operation, implementation or enforcement. 8. For recruitment on re- employment basis: Retired Officers of Government Departments / Organizations / PSUs in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 (grade pay Rs.7600/-; CDA pattern) or in the pay scale of Rs.70000-200000/- or Rs. 80000- 220000 (IDA pattern) or equivalent pay scales in State Government Transport departments with minimum 15 years of experience in any of the transport related domains, viz., administration, operation, implementation or enforcement. 9. Job Description: i. Interfacing with consultants, operators, Govt. Depts, agencies and local self Govts, for developing an Integrated Transport system for Kochi. ii. Involve in the matters related to establishment of Metropolitan Transport Authority-Kochi. iii. Liaising with Dept. of Transport and Motor Vehicles Dept. Govt. of Kerala, in all matters related to Integrated Public Transport Project. iv. Liaising with KSRTC / KURTC / Private Bus Operators on preparation of Integrated Bus Time Table (IBTT) and its implementation. v. Assist in preparation of integrated time table. vi. Liaising with govt. agencies on implementation of Intelligent Transport System. 10. Pay: For recruitment on Fixed Term contract: The candidate selected on fixed term contract shall be given a consolidated pay of Rs.1,00,000/- per month. i. For recruitment on Deputation : As per the deputation terms and conditions ii. For recruitment on Re-employment basis: The pay structure, allowances along with perquisites applicable candidates recruited on re-employment basis shall be as under: i) Basic Pay- will be the last drawn basic pay minus pension, if any 11. Advt. No: KMRL/HR/FTC/2021-22/04 Date 08.12. 2021
ii) Dearness Allowances- as revised by the Government from time to time on the last drawn basic pay. The candidate will not be eligible for dearness relief on basic pension.
iii) Other perquisites- as applicable to E5 grade as per KMRL approved policies.

Selection Procedure
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified for interview, which will be communicated through email only. KMRL reserves the right to shortlist the candidates

2. Name of the post applied for should be super scribed on the envelope containing the application.
3. The application should contain one recent passport size photograph pasted on the form, self-attested copy of proof of age, degree certificates and experiences certificate.

5. Duly filled in applications in hard copy along with related document copies must reach the Sr. Deputy General Manager (HR & Trg.), Kochi Metro Rail Limited, 4th Floor, JLN Metro Station, Kaloor, Kochi-682 017 or through email to [email protected] on or before 24.12.2021 5.00 Pm.
6. KMRL will not be responsible for any delay / loss in postal/email transit of any application or communication.
Important Instructions:
1. Only Indian Nationals should apply.
2. Age, Qualification & Experience shall be reckoned as on 01.12.2021.
3. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified for interview, which will be communicated through email only. KMRL reserves the right to shortlist the candidates.
4. Acceptance or rejection of application of the candidates will be the sole discretion of the Management. Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.
5. KMRL management reserves the right to cancel or amend this advertisement.
6. Applications of candidates attempting to influence or interfere with the selection process will be rejected summarily and he/she will be declared disqualified for future vacancies in KMRL.
7. No TA/DA will be paid by KMRL to candidates for attending interview.
8. KMRL reserves the right not to fill the position or select any candidate without assigning any reason.
9. Candidature of a candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process or after recruitment or joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or not in conformity with the eligiblity criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
10. Merely fulfilling the minimum qualifications and experience will not confer on any candidates the right to be called for an interview or to be selected.
11. No correspondence, whatsoever, will be entertained from candidates regarding conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview or selection.
12. The period of engagement will be initially for one year, renewable further subject to consistent good performance and conduct and requirement.
