Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Yavatmal (KVK) is run by Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola. The KVK is imparting technical know-how to the farmers at their doorsteps through various programs and packages, especially in the field of Home Science, Horticulture, Plant Protection, Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering, and Agronomy.

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra is a district level Farm Science Center established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi at Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, District Yavatmal for speedy transfer of technology to the farmer's fields. The operational area of this Krishi Vigyan Kendra comes under the Vidarbha Zone of Maharashtra. The aim of Krishi Vigyan Kendra is to reduce the time lag between Generation of technology at the research institutions and its transfer to the farmer's field for increasing production, productivity and income from the agriculture and allied sectors on a sustained basis. In order to achieve this goal, three mandates have been envisaged in the design of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
